Barnsley V Birmingham at Oakwell Stadium - Match Preview

Trio in Reds frame

Barnsley's new loan signing Marcus Tudgay, plus midfielders David Fox and Kelvin Etuhu will all be in contention to face Birmingham.

Tudgay returned for a second loan spell at Oakwell from Nottingham Forest this week, while Fox, on loan from Norwich, missed last week's defeat at Millwall due to a bout of mumps and Etuhu was forced off late in the game with a hamstring strain.

Striker Chris O'Grady remains sidelined with the calf strain that ruled him out last week and on-loan defender Peter Ramage (thigh) is not quite ready to return following a five-game absence.

Luke Steele is also still out due to a back problem so on-loan Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland will continue.

Kyle Bartley and Andy Shinnie are slight doubts for Birmingham.

Defender Bartley (hamstring) and midfielder Shinnie (toe) will be assessed ahead of the crunch clash at Oakwell between two of the Championship's bottom four sides.

Bartley returns from suspension for the clash, as does midfielder Wade Elliott, who has completed a three-match ban.

Dariusz Dudka and Aaron Mclean are pushing for starts having made their debuts as second-half substitutes in last weekend's 1-1 draw at home to Blackpool. But David Murphy, Matt Green, Neal Eardley (all knee), Jonathan Spector (thigh) and Akwasi Asante (hamstring) continue to miss out.
