Willie McKay, who represents the Senegal international midfielder, has told Sky Sports that Pompey have turned down a bid from Blues believed to be £1.5million for Faye.
With midfielder Nigel Quashie moving from Pompey to Southampton on Monday it appears that the south-coast club are now reluctant to part with Faye who it seems is top of manager Steve Bruce's shopping list to replace Robbie Savage whose move to Blackburn is expected to be completed very soon.
