David Gold said earlier this month that he would be disappointed if Blues were not favourites to make an immediate return to the top-flight and the countries leading bookies seem to agree with the Blues chairman.
The three clubs relegated from the top-flight last season lead the betting field with Ladbrokes offering odds as little as 4/1 for Blues to return to the Premiership at the first attempt but in general they are around the 5/1 mark.
Neighbours West Brom are second favourites at 6/1 with Sunderland currently third favourites at 8/1.
