Boro Game Targetted For Dugs Return

The Blues striker has been troubled all season with a knee injury and has not played since the 4-0 home defeat to Blackburn Rovers in December in which he was sent-off for two bookable offences and earlier this week suspended for three games for an alleged elbowing offence on Rovers centre-back Craig Short.

The French forward therefore has more than two weeks to regain match fitness as he was suspended with immediate effect meaning he is banned for this weekends game at Chelsea, the FA Cup 4th round tie against Wimbledon at St. Andrews next weekend and the home game against Newcastle Utd on January 31st.

Dugarry has undergone a series of injections on the troublesome knee injury but is expected to return to full training towards the end of next week in the hope of returning to Steve Bruce's squad for the re-arranged clash with Boro at St. Andrew's on Tuesday, 3rd February.
