Summer signing Cameron Jerome doubled Blues' advantage with his first goal for the club just a minute into the second half before Andy Ducros pulled a goal back for the hosts.
Blues missed a number of chances to increase their lead before Campbell went goal crazy by bagging a further three goals in the final five minutes to register a 5-1 win against Nigel Clough's outfit.
Another positive from the game was that injury stricken midfielder David Dunn completed a full ninety minutes.
