The Blues striker has signed for the Foxes for £1.6million, which could rise to £2.1million, and has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at The Walkers Stadium.
Campbell will link up again at Leicester with his former manager at Brentford, Martin Allen, who is now in charge of The Foxes and former Blues team-mate's Stephen Clemence, who moved to The Walkers Stadium last week, and Bruno N'Gotty.
"DJ is a player whom we have been chasing for some time and after long and exhausting negotiations we are delighted to have completed the deal," Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric told his club's official website.
"This is a signing that really excites me and I believe he will be a great acquisition for Leicester City Football Club.
"He has great pace and he scores goals."
