The Blues skipper was dismissed by refereee Mark Halsey 37 minutes into the 2-0 home win on Monday night for a high tackle on Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo.
Carsley will now have to serve an automatic three game suspension and will miss Blues' next three games against Charlton (a) this coming Saturday, Plymouth (h) on Easter Monday, 13th April and Watford (a) on Saturday, 18th April.
