Chris Foy (The Rain Man) Refs Charlton Clash

Yes - Mr Foy was the referee that wasn't back on 20th December when he controversially postponed Blues home fixture with Middlesbrough because of a waterlogged pitch. Within twenty minutes of his announcement Steve Bruce had the Blues players out training on the pitch!

I'll take this opportunity to thank Mr Foy for a wasted seven hour round trip for us on that day!!

The St. Helens official's one and only game in charge of a Blues fixture this season was in the 1-0 away win at Bolton Wanderers on October 25th when he turned down blatant penalty appeals from both sides and booked Blues midfielder David Dunn for allegedly diving in the box under a challenge by Ivan Campo - that yellow card later being rescinded. Olivier Tebily was also booked on that day.

You have to go way back to September 20th for the last time Mr Foy refereed a Charlton game. He was the man in the middle in their 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa, Luke Young and Jonathan Fortune saw yellow that day.

In total Chris Foy has refereed in just 7 Premiership fixtures so far this season, handing out 20 yellow cards and as yet no reds.
