The Blues midfielder and last season's player of the year is set to join the Foxes for a reported £750,000 fee on the successful completion of a medical at The Walkers Stadium.
Foxes boss Martin Allen is also interested in signing Blues striker DJ Campbell but the two clubs are said to be still wrangling over the fee for the former Brentford forward who played under Allen during their time together at Griffin Park.
