The 35-year-old striker, who joined Blues on a season long loan deal from Pompey last week, has trained with the first team squad this week and is almost certain to feature in the game against The Sky Blues at St Andrew's on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Gary McSheffrey serves the last of a three game suspension and so misses the game against his former club whilst Julian Gray will be serving a one game ban for his sending off in Blues' last game against West Brom.
Bruno N'Gotty is also a doubt with the hamstring injury that has seen him miss the last two games.
