Williams joined the Nationwide second division side on a one month loan deal in August, having spent the the whole of last season at Loftus Road, but after being told by Rangers boss Ian Holloway that he could not be guaranteed a first team place has decided to return to Blues.

"I can't unconditionally offer him first team football and from his point of view if he is to be out on a long term loan he wants to be sure of a place in the side," Holloway told the QPR official website www.qpr.co.uk

I'm disappointed to lose him, but I've been honest with him and I totally respect his point of view.

"I would like to thank Tommy for his efforts both this season and last, and I would like to wish him all the very best for the future."
