Williams, currently on a season long loan with the Second division side, was stretchered off after only eight minutes of QPR's home game with Cheltenham last week with what was thought to be a recurrence of the ankle ligament injury that kept him sidelined for nearly three months earlier in the season.

However, scans on the injury have revealed a slight tear to his ankle ligament which will keep him out of Rangers next two games.

Williams, a £350,000 signing from Peterborough in March last year, was loaned out for the season to the London club back in August last year.
