Ex-keeper on show tonight

Former Blues boss Trevor Francis loaned the keeper from Everton towards the end of the 1999-2000 season when he had a goalkeeping crisis.

Myhre, who made nine appearances for Blues during that spell, helped Blues to an end of season play-off place and was a big favourite with the Blues fans - many had expected Francis to make the move permanent during the 2000 close season.

Now with Sunderland, Myhre is on his way back from a thigh injury which has kept him sidelined for almost a year and plays his second comeback game for the Black Cats against Blues second string tonight.

Blues: Andy Bagnall, Chad Sheppard, Lee Vaughan, Aliou Cisse, David Arrowsmith, Marcus Painter, Carl Motteram, Jovan Kirovski, Luciano Figueroa, Bryan Hughes, Darren Carter. Subs: Dean Curtis, Duane Courtney, Mathew Birley, Peter Till, Tom Parratt.

Sunderland (from): Myhre, Ingham, Ramsden, Clark, Babb, Scott, Whitley, Dickman, Black, Proctor, Reddy, Brown, Teggart, Leadbitter, Kingsberry, Taylor.

Kick-off at Damson Park is 7pm.
