Blues are believed to have agreed a fee of around £1.5million for the 31-year-old former Scotland international mdfielder who has worked under Blues boss Alex McLeish at both club and country level.
Ferguson is expected to complete a move to St Andrews by the end of this week once personal terms have been agreed between all parties and he has successfully completed the mandatory medical.
