Mario Melchiot, Jamie Clapham, Stan Lazaridis, Nico Vaesen and Chris Sutton will not be offered new deals when their contracts expire at St Andrew's this summer.
Jiri Jarosik and Nicky Butt will also depart as they are returning to their clubs after season long loan spells from Chelsea and Newcastle respectively.
