The Blues striker, who has been sidelined since October with a knee injury, played 90 minutes and scored twice for Blues Reserves side against West Brom earlier this week and could now return to Steve Bruce's 16-man first team squad for the game against League leaders Derby at St Andrew's in front of the live television camera's on Friday night.
The Finland international striker has made just five appearances so far this season, four of those as a substitute, in which he has bagged just the one goal.
