McFadden Misses Scotland Friendly

McFadden had been selected in Scotland boss Craig Levein's starting eleven for the match at Hampden Park tonight (Wednesday) but he has been forced to withdraw from the team because of the groin injury he sustained during Bllues' 1-0 home win against Wigan Athletic last weekend.

"James won't play," Levein told BBC Radio Five Live.

"He trained today and he felt he was hampered just a little bit by a tight groin.

"I did say to Birmingham boss Alex McLeish that I'm not going to put anybody on the pitch who's 75 per cent fit."
