Morrison on target for Ireland

Ireland recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory in the friendly in Glasgow with Morrison adding to Kevin Kilbane's opening goal for Brian Kerr's side after sixteen minutes.

A lob by Mark Kinsella was punched cleared by keeper Neil Sullivan and the ball fell perfectly for Morrison to shoot home from the edge of the box for his fourth international goal.

Paul Devlin appeared for Scotland as a second half substitute and made a number of fine runs down the right wing, earning him the man of the match accolade.

Elsewhere, Robbie Savage played a part in Wales' draw with Bosnia Herzegovina at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, setting up John Hartson's equaliser on 66 minutes to bring the scores level at 2-2.

Stan Lazaridis played the full ninety minutes for Australia in their 3-1 win over England at Upton Park but Blues defender Matthew Upson was one of the five England players not used.

Damien Johnson was part of the the Northern Ireland side that went down 1-0 in a closely fought friendly game against Finland at Windsor Park, Belfast - Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia scoring the only goal of the game.

Piotr Swierczewski's Poland drew 0-0 in Croatia.
