Nafti Explains 'Mr Nasty' Tag

The Tunisian international midfielder, who signed for Blues on the last day of the January transfer window, revealed that the Mr Nasty tag came from his aggressive performances both for his country and with the La Liga outfit.

"I was given my nickname because I am aggressive. But the way I play has helped me get where I am today," he told the Sun newspaper.

"It is not down to me whether teams win games but what I can guarantee is I will always give 100 per cent, that is the way I play.

"In Tunisia, we used to be just technically-gifted football players but we have had to change the way we play because a lot of the African countries were predominantly physical.

"We have adopted a slightly different way of playing now and we are all strong and able to look after ourselves."

Nafti has made just two appearances since moving to St Andrew's. His debut came in the 2-0 defeat at Manchester Utd whilst he was a second half substitute in Blues' last game against Liverpool.
