The 16-year-old winger has been given the number 34 shirt and will be part of the 19-man squad for Blues' home match against Everton on Saturday afternoon, although manager Alex McLeish can name only 18 players (including subs) for the game against David Moyes' side.

Redmond, who has represented England at Under 16's level, has been described as an out-and-out right winger by Blues' academy coach Terry Westley.
