The Blues keeper, along with former Blues striker Andrew Johnson, was part of the Crystal Palace side that beat Sunderland in a dramatic penalty shoot-out in the 2nd leg of the Nationwide Division One play-off semi final at The Stadium Of Light on Monday night after the Black Cats had won the game 2-1 after extra time to make the game all level at 4-4. Palace had won their home leg 3-2 on Friday night.

The Belgian keeper, who was between the sticks for Blues when they won the play-off final on penalties against Norwich two years ago, has been given permission to extend his loan stay at Selhurst Park until after the play-off final on Saturday, May 29th.

Ironically it was former Blues loanee Michael Hughes that scored the decisive penalty winner that took the Eagles to Cardiff where they will play the winners of Tuesday nights other semi final 2nd leg between West Ham and Ipswich.
