No Deadline Day Deals For Blues

Defensive cover, mainly on the left-hand side, looked an odds-on certainty but to the amazement of most fans, Blues did not add to their ranks.

One reported target, Michael Ball of Glasgow Rangers opted for a move to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven whilst Luton Town's highly-rated centre-back Curtis Davies, who manager Steve Bruce revealed had been watched by Blues, joined West Brom in a £3million deal.

Following the sale of Clinton Morrison to Crystal Palace last week a new striker signing looked a possibilty too.

This what not to be however!

I guess we'll just have to wait until January, although as is often said when that transfer window opens, 'clubs don't allow their good players to leave at this time of the season'!!!
