With Maik Taylor beginning a two game ban for his second red card of the season at Portsmouth on Easter Monday, Blues have opted to promote the Republic Of Ireland U20 international rather than recall the more experienced Vaesen from his loan spell with the First Division play-off hopefuls.
The club have confirmed that Ian Bennett will keep goal at Highbury and that 18-year-old Doyle, who is yet to play a competitive first team game, will be his understudy on the Blues bench.
