Norwegian Tour Ends With Defeat

Muzzy Izzet made his first start for Blues in eight months but striker Emile Heskey was rested.

Norwegian trialist Andre Bergdolmo did not play any part as his agent could not get clearance in time for the 33-year-old defender to play.

The home side took the lead on 26 minutes with a bizzarre goal - Martin Taylor's clearance ricocheted off Bran Bergen forward Tom Hanne and past Maik Taylor in the Blues goal.

Arve Walder doubled the home side's advantage 9 minutes into the second half and Dylan MacAllister gave his side a 3-0 lead on 78 minutes.

Bergen left-back Erlend Hanstveit made it 4-0 with six minutes remaining.

Final Score: Bran Bergen 4-0 Blues

Blues: Maik Taylor (Vaesen h/t), Melchiot, Martin Taylor, Upson (Cunningham 63), Painter (Pennant h/t), Anderton, Izzet (Tebily 63), Clemence, Kilkenny, Morrison, Forssell (Kuqi 63).

Blues' next pre-season game is a little closer to home - they travel to Pride Park to play Derby County on Saturday.
