"I've still got a contract here for two years so I'm not in a rush to go anywhere," he told the Birmingham Post.
"I'm desperate to play in the first team, which is what every player wants to do, but I've got to just keep working hard and we'll see what happens over the next few weeks.
"I've been at Birmingham six years now and it's part of me. We have had a great start to the season and long may it continue.
"It's becoming more of a squad game nowadays, so you just have to keep in there. I'll get another chance this year and it's about taking it."
