Everton boss David Moyes has been keen to sign Savage since July but after an unsuccessful bid for the Blues midfielder was turned down by the club on Friday, the Wales international has pledged his future at St. Andrew's.

"The proposed deal was always between the two clubs and I never entered into any talks," Savage told the clubs official website, www.bcfc.com

"I am as happy as I have even been playing at Birmingham City and I have no wish to move.

"The fans at Blues have been fantastic towards me and given me great support since I joined the club.

"They can expect to see the usual 100 per cent performances from me on the pitch throughout this season.

"I am looking forward to helping the club continue our fantastic start to the new campaign."

Thanks Robbie, now get on and help Wales qualify for the Eoro 2004 qualifiers!
