Skipper Becomes Number Six

The 34-year-old centre back will not be offerred a new deal at the club when his present contract expires this summer.

A popular player amongst Blues supporter, Cunningham becomes the sixth first team player along with Stan Lazaridis, Jamie Clapham, Mario Melchiot, Chris Sutton and Nico Vaesen to have been told that he he will not be offered a new contract following the clubs relegation from the Premier League.

Cunningham made 144 league and Cup appearances for Blues since signing from Wimbledon for an undisclosed fee in July 2002.
