Stan happy to wait for contract talks

Lazaridis, whose present contract ends in the summer, attracted interest from Leeds during the recent transfer window but at this moment-in-time he is concerned only with helping the club keep their place in the top flight.

"The next two months are critical. We've got to start picking up points and everyone is focused on doing that," Stan told the B'ham Evening Mail.

"On my own situation, that's to one side as well. I think come the end of the season I'll sit down with the manager and the club and decide where to go from here.

"I think that's the sensible thing to do. I understand the club cannot afford to make decisions now on anyone or anything, the main priority and concern is staying in the Premiership."
