Michael Johnson
Johnno gets his first game under Bruce
Missing for Blues at The Hawthorns will be suspended trio Geoff Horsfield, Martin O'Connor and Curtis Woodhouse.

A nine-man injury list includes midfielder Arek Bak, who has damaged a muscle around the rib cage, and Steve Vickers who is not mobile enough to play after suffering a deep cut to his leg in Blues last match against Wimbledon.

Apart from long term absentees Dele Adebola and Danny Sonner, Blues are also without Graham Hyde, Jacques Williams, Joey Hutchinson & Carlos Ferrari.

Bruce, though, can choose Nicky Eaden after a thigh problem, while Andrew Johnson (hamstring) and Paul Furlong (ankle) are now fit and have been added to the squad.

Michael Johnson will play his first game under Steve Bruce, deputising for Vickers at the back.

Full back David Burrows has had treatment for a badly sprained ankle and is rated only 50-50.

Meanwhile, right back Jeff Kenna is due to play the last game of his one month loan spell from Blackburn.

Manager Steve Bruce is hopeful of agreeing his permanent signature after the game.

"We've spoken with Jeff's agent and put an offer to him which Jeff is thinking over," said Bruce. "Hopefully we will be able to sort something out ."

Kenna is available on a free transfer.
