Media reports had suggested that meetings between Vieira and Blues officials had taken place on Wednesday but the club have refuted these suggestions.
Blues have, however, revealed that managing director Karren Brady had spoken with Vieira's agents earlier n the summer but no contact had been made since then.
Blues are believed to be interested in trying to sign the former Arsenal midfielder who still has one year remaining on his contract at Inter Milan.
