View from the opposition: Leeds

Last updated : 18 September 2003 By Brian Cartlidge
How has Leeds season gone so far?
After such a poor sequence of results pre-season our start has very much lived up to that so far despite some fans getting carried away with the draw against Newcastle and the win at Middlesbrough. I think the players just thought they had to turn up at Leicester in midweek to get a result - how wrong! It could be the kick-start we needed however.

Star player to look out for?
Jermaine Pennant looks special and is the man to watch, even at Leicester he stood out.

Strong point in the Leeds team?
The front pairing of Viduka and Smith is the strongest part of the team and is waiting to ignite.

Weak point in the Leeds team?
The whole defence still looks shaky and need to communicate the language of football fairly quickly.

Prediction for Saturday?
My heart says a strong Leeds performance and a first home win - my head says a scrappy draw.
