Blues have already had the pleasure of the Hertfordshire-based official refereeing five of their games this season whilst Graham Poll has taken charge of four Villa games during this campaign.

The last Blues game that Graham Poll refereed was in our 1-0 away defeat to Middlesbrough on 4th March. No Blues players were booked at The Riverside on that day.

Graham Poll had also taken charge of our 2-0 away defeat to Charlton on 14th January. No Blues players were booked at the Valley on that day either.

Prior to the Charlton game Graham Poll had taken charge of our 2-2 League Cup 4th Round victory at Millwall back on 29th November 2005. Nicky Butt, Julian Gray and Matthew Upson were all booked that night.

He also took charge of the 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa in October 2005 when Damien Johnson and Mikael Forssell both picked up a yellow card and he was the man in the middle for our away win against West Brom in August 2005 when Matthew Upson, Jiri Jarosik and Jamie Clapham were all booked.

The last Villa game that Graham Poll took charge of was in their 1-1 FA Cup 5th Round home draw against Manchester City on 19th February. Olof Mellberg was the only Villa player to be booked on that day.

In total Graham Poll has taken charge of 25 Premier League games so far this season in which he has handed out 88 yellow cards and 4 reds.

Mr P Sharp and Mr G Turner will be Graham Poll's assistants at Villa Park on Sunday lunchtime.
