Blues have already had the pleasure of the South Yorkshire official refereeing one of their games so far this season whilst Mr Webb has taken charge of three Wigan games during this campaign.

The one and only time Howard Webb took charge of a Blues fixture this season was in our 2-2 home draw against Manchester United on 28th December. No Blues players were booked during the 2-2 draw at St Andrew's on that evening.

The last time that Howard Webb took charge of a Wigan fixture was in their FA Cup 4th Round defeat against Manchester City at Eastlands on 28th January. No Wigan players were cautioned in that game.

In total Howard Webb has taken charge of 37 English League and Cup games so far this season in which he has handed out 98 yellow cards and 4 reds.

Mr R Bone and Mr M Cairns will be Howard Webb's assistants for the live television game at the JJB Stadium on Saturday evening.
