Blues have already had the pleasure of the Wirral-based official taking charge of one of their league games this season whilst Mike Dean has also refereed one Chelsea game too during this campaign.

The last Blues game that Mike Dean refereed was in our 1-0 away defeat to Newcastle United back on 5th November. Muzzy Izzet and Stan Lazaridis were the two Blues players booked that day.

The last time Mike Dean took charge of a Chelsea game was in their 2-0 home win against Sunderland back on 10th September. Joe Cole was the only Chelsea player booked on that occasion.

In total Mike Dean has taken charge of 18 league and cup games so far this season in which he has handed out 53 yellow cards and 4 reds.

Mr G Ward and M Yerby will be Mike Dean's assistants for the game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.
