Steve Bennett Refs Bolton Game

Blues have not had the pleasure of the Orpington-based official refereeing any of their games this season and neither did he take charge of any of our games last season.

The last time Steve Bennett was in charge of a Blues match for our Premier League home game against Everton on 12th April 2008. The now departed Medhi Nafti was the only Blues player booked in the 1-1 draw at St Andrews although Lee Carsley, who was an Everton player at the time, also picked up a yellow card for the visitors.

In total, Steve Bennett has taken charge of 5 games so far this season in which he has handed out 14 yellow cards and no reds.

Andy Halliday and Martin Yerby will be Steve Bennett's assistants for the Premier League match at St Andrews on Saturday afternoon.
