Steve Bennett Refs Liverpool Game

The Orpington based official has not been in charge of a Blues game so far this season although he did officiate in two of their League fixtures last season.

The last time Steve Bennett took charge of a Blues league game was in the 1-0 defeat to Norwich City at Carrow Road on 7th May when midfielder Damien Johnson was sent off and a further five more Blues players were shown a yellow card.

The last time Steve Bennett took charge of a Liverpool league fixture was in their 1-0 home win against Bolton Wanderers on 2nd April. Pellegrino the only Liverpool player to be booked during that game.

So far this season Steve Bennett has refereed four Premier League games in which he has handed out a whopping 15 yellow cards but as yet no reds.

Mr G Beale and Mr A Butler will be Steve Bennetts assistants for the 12.45pm kick-off against Liverpool at St Andrew's on Saturday.
