Uriah Rennie In The Middle For Bolton Clash

Last updated : 02 January 2005 By Brian Cartlidge

Blues have already had the pleasure of the Sheffield based official refereeing two of their league games already this season whilst Uriah Rennie has also taken charge of two of Bolton's league games during this campaign too.

The last time Mr Rennie refereed a Blues game was in the 1-0 away win at Liverpool on 6th November. Damien Johnson was the only Blues player booked on that day.

Prior to the game at Anfield, Uriah Rennie had taken charge of Blues 1-1 draw with Charlton at St Andrew's on 18th September. DJ was sent-off for two bookable offences that day whilst the now departed Jesper Gronkjaer also received a caution.

The last time Mr Rennie was in charge of a Bolton game was in their 1-0 home defeat to Manchester City on 18th December. No cards were shown to any players that day.

Uriah Rennie had also officiated Bolton's game against Liverpool at the Reebok on 26th August and on that occasion Trotters pair Kevin Nolan and Fernando Hierro were cautioned.

In total Uriah Rennie has refereed 9 Premier League games so far this season in which he has handed out 13 yellow cards whilst Johnson's red against Charlton is his only sending off to date.

Mr T Massey and Mr A Martin will be Uriah Rennies assistants for the game at St Andrew's on Tuesday evening.
