Trailing to a Gareth Farrelly goal after 15 minutes, Blues fought back after half time and Polish midfielder Piotr Swierczewski levelled the scores with a smart twenty-yard left foot volley six minutes after the break.

Blues fell behind for the second time however after a sloppy clearance by Ferdinand Coly gifted the ball to Wanderer's and striker Jermaine Johnson put the hosts 2-1 up.

Johnson added his second and Wanderer's third of the night with 20 minutes remaining.

Blues substitute Dean Curtis scored with five minutes remaining to bring the score back to 3-2 but Keith Bertschins side were unable to reproduce the last minute theatricals they managed in the victory over Manchester Utd last week and came home from Lancashire pointless.
