Leeds Res 2 - Blues Res 1

Blues took the lead after only seven minutes when Argentinian striker Luciano Figueroa continued his fine goalscoring form for the second string by tapping home after Carl Motteram's shot from the edge of the box decieved Leeds keeper Scott Carson.

Figueroa then twice came close to doubling Blues advantage when first he shot into the side netting from eight yards out on 25 minutes and just five minutes after that when he headed a Motteram cross only inches wide.

The hosts drew level, however, 10 minutes before the break when Simon Johnson beat Bagnall with a great shot from 25 yards out.

Blues came close to regaining the lead again during the second period, Figueroa again unlucky when his shot from inside the box was well saved by Carson.

Leeds sealed their victory with just six minutes left on the clock when United substitute Craig Stiens' shot from the edge of the box came back off the bar for Johnson to head home his and Leeds second.

And so, a second defeat on the trot for the Blues Reserves but the goalscoring form of 'Lucky' Luciano continues, his one tonight bringing his total to four in four games for Keith Bertschin's side.
