A superb left foot effort after half-an-hour from youngster Mark Allen was enough for Keith Bertschins side to come away from Yorkshire with a well deserved three points.

And the young Blues winger nearly doubled his and Blues score five minutes from the end but was denied by a smart save from Wednesday keeper Stringer.

Christophe Grondin also saw a 20-yard effort smash against the bar in the second half with Stringer well beaten.

Defender Darren Purse completed the full ninety minutes as Blues ran-out worthy winners with Andy Marriott in goal rarely troubled.
