Player Ratings v Stoke City

Last updated : 12 February 2007 By Brian Cartlidge
Doyle - A couple of scary moments but overall a decent performance.

N'Gotty - Ok defensively but offers little offensively.

Jaidi - Commanding although clearly caught out by pace on one occasion.

Martin Taylor - Another steady display.

Sadler - Played well.

Johnson - Clearly out of sorts but being asked to occupy so many positions doesn't help.

Clemence - Not one of his better games and seemed to be carrying an injury.

Muamba - Gave his usual battling display.

McSheffrey - Extremely quiet yet again but popped up with the all-important goal.

Jerome - Shackled well by a resolute Stoke defence.

Bendtner - Looked the one player most likely to break the deadlock but had to make do with an assist!.

Subs:

Larsson (for Clemence, 59 mins) - Offered a bit more down the right-flank

Vine (for Jerome, 59 mins) - Seems to be trying too hard to impress at the moment.

Subs not used: Maik Taylor, Danns, Campbell.

*Star Man* - Nicklas Bendtner
