"It was an incredible game but we deserved the win," the Blues boss said after the 2-1 win at St Andrew's.

"But we always appear to make life difficult for ourselves.

"Forssell, however, popped up to score the winner. I'm delighted for him for as he has been out for a long, time.

"We have had to be very patient. He has been frustrated at times but he was the only player on the pitch who could score a goal like he did for the vital winner.

"It was a typical Mikael Forssell goal and we hope that he is now up and running with only three games to go.

"We have not given up and in recent weeks we have restored some lost pride after what happened against Liverpool.

"Whether we survive is now in our hands. We've given ourselves a chance and now we have to produce some top form in the away games at Everton and Bolton."
