The on-loan Czech internetional midfielder not only scored the only goal of the game but put in a man-of-the-match performance to help lift Blues out of the bottom three in the Laegue table for the first time since the beginning of October. "We asked him to play a central role because of the injuries and he produced his best all-round performance since joining Birmingham. He had a terrific game. "He has come up trumps and this is the most important goal he has scored for us. "We have been totally examined over the last fortnight and we have come through with a great deal of credit. "Two weeks ago we had the worst night of my life and all I was looking for was a response from the players to answer certain people. "It was a huge result for us. All credit to the players."
"I thought it was a fantastic goal from Jarosik," Bruce said after the 1-0 win at St Andrew's.
"If we can continue to play like that for the rest of the season we will give ourselves a real chance of staying in the Premiership.
