Anderton has yet to feature for Blues since his signing as a free agent at the beginning of the month but he did travel with the rest of the Blues squad for the game against Spurs at White Hart Lane although he wasn't included in the 16 man squad.
The former England international was due to play in a behind closed doors friendly against West Brom towards the end of last week but that was cancelled so he is now expected to turn out for the table topping Blues Reserves when they make the short trip across Birmingham to take on the Villa on tuesday evening.
