Barry Knight In the Middle For Chelsea Clash

The Kent official refereed just two Blues games last season the first of which was in our 4-1 away defeat to Tottenham on 7th January 2004. No players from either side were booked on that night at White Hart Lane.

Mr Knight's other game in charge of a Blues fixture last season came in the 3-1 away defeat to Portsmouth on 12th April. Blues keeper Maik Taylor saw red that day and there were yellow cards shown to Kenny Cunningham and Stephen Clemence too.

Chelsea never had the pleasure of Barry Knight refereeing any of their games last season.

In total Barry Knight, , who was the fourth official in Blues' first game of the season at Portsmouth last Saturday, refereed 27 games last season handing out 91 yellow cards and 9 reds.

Mr G Brittain and Mr R Lewis will be Knights assistants for Saturdays game with the 4th Official at St Andrews being Peter Walton.
