The Danish striker was stretchered off during the second half of the 3rd round tie at St Andrew's on Saturday and initial thoughts were that he may have broken his ankle.
However, the club have now confirmed that Bendtner has sprained his ankle and is likely to be sidelined for about 3 to 4 weeks.
