The Blues long-serving keeper has moved to Brammal Lane on an initial one month loan deal and is expected to go straight into Blades manager Neil Warnocks squad to face basement side Rotherham this Saturday.
I find this a strange decision to say the least but lets just hope Benno doesn't pick up an injury during his spell at Sheffield Utd!
His loan move leaves manager Steve Bruce with just two recognised keepers in Maik Taylor and Nico Vaesen going into a busy schedule with rookie Colin Doyle also currently out on loan with Nottingham Forest.
