Jiri Jarosic, Muzzy Izzet, Mario Melchiot and Martin Taylor are all expected to have recovered from injuries in time to be considered for selection for the first Birmingham derby of the season at St Andrew's on 16th October.

Jarosic (ankle) has been sidelined since the away draw at Portsmouth, Izzet (Achilles) has not featured since the Carling Cup 2nd Round tie against Scunthorpe last month whilst Melchiot was forced to sit out Blues' game against Arsenal last weekend having picked up a knee injury in the last home game against Liverpool. Taylor was not considered for the Arsenal game because he had an infection.

Elsewhere, Neil Kilkenny will also be available for the Villa game as he has now completed his one game suspension for his red card against Liverpool and there is also a chance that David Dunn could return against the Villa after a ten month lay-off.
