A season that was supposed to be about survival has turned into a European assault. Anyone would think it was Christmas in Birmingham. Two goals from Cameron Jerome, finally scoring at St Andrew’s this season, enabled Birmingham City to record a fifth successive victory and climb into the top six of the Barclays Premier League for the first time since the latter half of the 2003-04 season.
