Keith Bertschins side, as they did against Sunderland Reserves last week, sailed into a two goal lead at Ewood Park with goals from Njazi Kuqi and Neil Kilkenny.

However, Glyn Hodges' side fought back with a brace from striker Jemal Johnson.

Defender Marcos Painter then gave Blues a 3-2 lead only for Rovers to equalise again through Jonathon Douglas.

The 3-3 result left Rovers top of the Barclays Premier Reserves League (north) table, with Blues in second spot on goal difference.
